Intel’s Moblin 2.1 OS announced

During the Intel Developer Forum 2009, Intel introduced its new operating system – Moblin 2.1. It is based on Linux and is designed for smartphones and Intel Atom based mobile Internet devices. According to developers this operating system is optimized for social networks and has all chances to become popular. There’s good reason to believe that devices based on Moblin 2.1 could be released already in 2010.
