Shuttle company has just unveiled its new thin and compact PC. Shuttle X350 costs only $399 but its specifications look good. This nettop is based on Intel Atom D510 processor, NVIDIA ION graphics platform and supports HD (1080p) video playback. Bides this computer is equipped with DVD Super-Multi optic drive, 1 GB DDR2 RAM, 250 GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, LAN, Bluetooth, HDMI output, cardreader, five USB 2.0 ports. The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium.

Today Toshiba demonstrated its two coming devices. One of them is Toshiba AC100. IT is the first world’s netbook running on Google Android 2.1 operating system. In other respects it typical present day netbook. It is based on NVIDIA Tegra 250 platform and has 10.1 inch display with 1024×600px resolution, 1 GHz ARM processor, 512 Mb DDR2 RAM, 8 GB internal SSD, SD external memory card, HDMI, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, optional 3G module. The battery of this device provides about 8 hour of work time. Toshiba AC100 will become available in August.

AT&T mobile operator officially announced new device that will become available in its shops in next few months. Samsung Captivate is high-end flagship smartphone running on Google Android 2.1 operating system. It features 1 GHz processor, 4 inch capacitive Super AMOLED screen with 480×800px resolution and multi-touch technology support, 5 Mp camera with autofocus and HD video recording support. Other specifications are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS with A-GPS support, accelerometer, motion sensor, 3.5mm headphones jack, 16 GB internal storage, MicroSD external memory card slot.

Today Opera Software launched new public beta version of its popular web browser for Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. According to developers Opera 10.60 is more than 50% faster than its predecessor on selected JavaScript tests. Besides new version of Opera features better HTML5 and WEbM support, improved search mechanism. Opera 10.60 beta has been already available to download at official Opera’s site.

Asus has just unveiled its new netbook that looks quite out-of-date. Asus Eee PC1201X features 1.4 GHz AMD Geode NX1750 processor, 12.1 inch display with 1366×768px resolution and LED backlight, 1 GB DDR1 RAM. This netbook is also equipped with 160/250/320 GB hard drive, 0.3 Mp webcam, cardreader, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, LAN, VGA output. The weight of Asus Eee PC1201X is 1.4kg. The operating system is Windows XP. It is expected that the price will be very affordable. Otherwise this laptop will be very unsuccessful.

During Computex 2010 Viliv company demonstrated its tablet computer. Viliv X10 runs on Google Android 2.1 operating moment that will be upgraded to 2.2 version by the moment of release. This Android tablet has 10 inch multi-touch capable screen with 1366×768px resolution 16:9 aspect ratio, ARM-based processor, USB 2.0 port, SD external memory card slot, HDMI output, 1.3 Mp webcam, Wi-Fi, optional 3G and WiMAX modules. It is also notable that this device supports full HD video playback. Besides, Viliv will also release another tablet with the same specifications but running not on Android but on Windows 7.

This device has been just shown at Computex 2010 exhibition. In spite of the fact that this device is called Asus Eee Tablet it is not tablet computers actually. This gadget is some kind of hybrid of e-reader and note-taking device featuring 8 inch touch screen with 1024×768px resolution. Unfortunately it is not E-Ink display so this device has only 10 hours of battery life. Other specifications of this e-book reader include USB 2.0 port, 2 Mp camera, MicroSD external memory card slot, 3.5mm headphones jack. The price of Asus Eee Tablet will be about $200. Nevertheless its future trends are dubious.

During World IT Show in South Korea Samsung demonstrated its new affordable netbook based on Intel Pine Trail platform. Samsung N230 has 10.1 inch display with 1024×600px resolution and LED highlight, 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, 1 GB DDR2 RAM, 160 GB hard drive, three USB 2.0 ports, VGA output, LAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0. The operating system is Windows 7 Starter. Samsung N230 is expected to be launched in next few days. Unfortunately there is no official information about price.

French eviGroup has just launched its new device. eviGroup Wallet combines functions of media player, navigator, and tablet computer. It runs on Google Android 1.5 operating system and is equipped with 5 inch touch screen with 800×480px resolution, 667 MHz Samsung ARM 6410 processor, MicroSD external memory card slot, 1GB internal storage, GPS, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n,, 3.5mm headphones jack, 2000 mAh battery, miniUSB port. The dimensions are 132×87x14mm. It is also notable that this MID comes with car holder. The price of eviGroup Wallet ranges from €199 ($246) to €219 ($271) depending on the material of the case – plastic or chrome-plated steel.
