This device is one of coming Pantech’s flagship smartphones. Pantech Vega No.5 is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8660 1.5GHz dual-core processor and runs on Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. It is expected that Pantech Vega No.5 will become available in South Korea and China by the end of this month.
At last Lenovo officially announced its new ThinkPad X1 laptop that was first shown last month. The laptop features quite thin body (made of magnesium alloy) – just 21mm – but in contrast to other thin laptops by other producers it has better list of specifications. 13.3-inch display of this device has 1366x768px resolution and features Gorilla Glass covering and 350 nits brightness instead of the usual 200 to 250. Depending on configuration Lenovo ThinkPad X1 laptop has any second generation Intel Core processor and up to 8GB RAM. Due to RapidCharge technology support the battery of this computer can be charged to 80 percent in just half an hour. The list of ports includes HDMI, VGA, and Mini DisplayPort. The price of Lenovo ThinkPad X1 starts at $1400.
Motorola Mobility together with Verizon Wireless mobile operator has just announced an heir of Motorola DROID X. The design of Motorola DROID X2 is very similar to the predecessor’s one. But their lists of specifications are different. This high-end smartphone is based on NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform and runs on Google Android 2.2 Froyo operating system that soon will be updated to 2.3 Gingerbread. Motorola DROID X2 is equipped with 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen with 540x960px resolution, 8MP camera supporting Full HD video (1080p) recording, 1GB RAM. There are also such usual for present-day smartphones modules as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm headphones jack, MicroSD external memory card slot, accelerometer. Motorola DROID X2 has been already available for pre-order. It will cost $200 with two-year contract.
Dell published a teaser video showing its new ultra-thin laptop. Dell XPS 15 is an heir of the Adamo and the Adamo XPS laptops. In contrast to them it has new design, thinner body, higher performance and lower power consumption. There is no official information about this device but it is known that Dell XPS 15 has 15.6-inch display Sandy Bridge Core i5 or Core i7 processor, two USB 3.0 ports. No word about exact release date and price but it is known that Dell XPS 15 will cost less than $1000.
Today Sprint mobile operator announced two new Motorola’s smartphones that will become available in its shops. They are Motorola XPRT and Motorola Titanium.
The shape factor of this device is quite unusual for present-day smartphones. Motorola XPRT is a monoblock device with full QWERTY keyboard. It runs on Google Android 2.2 Froyo operating system with MotoBlur and is equipped with 3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with 320x480px resolution, 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 2GB ROM, 5MP AF camera with double LED flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, GPS, digital compass, accelerometer, MicroSD external memory card slot, 3.5mm headphones jack. Motorola XPRT will become available on June, 5 and will cost $130 with two-year contract.
Motorola Titanium has the same technical specifications with the only exclusion – it runs on Android 2.1 Éclair. The main feature of this smartphone is its body. It corresponds to all requirements of 810G military standard – it is water, dust, temperature and shock resistant. It is also notable that this device supports Push-to-Talk function. No word about exact release date and price.
Japanese Onkyo has just unveiled its two new Windows 7-powered tablets – TW317A7PH and TW117A6PH. The difference between these two devices is minimal. Onkyo TW317A7PH has 11.6-inch touchscreen with 1366x768px resolution, 32GB SSD, Broadcom BCM70015 graphics accelerator. The work time is 4.5 hours. Onkyo TW117A6PH is equipped with 10.1-inch touchscreen with 1024x600px resolution, 160GB hard drive. The battery of this tablet provides about 3.5hours of work time. Other specifications of these tablets are equal. They have 1.6GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, 2GB RAM, 1.3MP webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, SD external memory card slot, miniHDMI output, two USB 2.0 ports. Onkyo TW317A7PH and Onkyo TW117A6PH Windows 7 tablet will become available next month. Expected price is about $750.
LG Optimus Big is a new company smartphone running on Google Android 2.2 Froyo operating system that will soon be updated to 2.3 Gingerbread. The device features 4.3-inch capacitive Nova touchscreen with 480x800px resolution, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM. Other specifications include 5MP camera with autofocus, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, MicroSD external memory card slot. At first, on April, 27, sales of LG Optimus Big will start in South Korea. In other countries it will become available some weeks later.

In US 8GB version of Toshiba ANT will cost $450, 16GB version will cost $500, Toshiba ANT with 32GB internal storage will be available for $580.
MSI announced its two new Sandy Bridge based laptops. They are MSI FX620DX and MSI FX420. In many respects they are equal – they have the same design, scratch-resistant body, rubber keyboard. Moreover both this laptops support supports MSI`s power consumption and graphics system optimization technologies. The only difference between these two computers is that MSI FX620DX has 15.6-inch 1920x1080px display pared with Nvidia GeForce GT 540M (1GB memory) while MSI FX420 is equipped with 14-inch screen and Radeon HD 6470M graphics. MSI GX680 is based on Intel Sandy Bridge platform and is equipped with Core i7 2630QM processor with 2GHz clock, 15.6-inch display with 1920x1080px resolution, 8GB or 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M with 1GB memory, 1.5TB hard drive (two 750GB disks), DVD or Blu-ray optic drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet, cardreader, 1.3MP webcam, two USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports. The laptop measures 395x267x55mm and weights 3.5kg. MSI GX680 will become available in Europe in next few days. The operating system is Windows 7 Premium 64-bit. The price will be about EUR1800.
